Coin purse made with Liberty tana lawn in the print: ‘June’s Meadow’, a rich red cotton lining, and hand stitched silver metal frame

Description

This coin purse is the perfect size to pop into your pocket with a little cash, a key and maybe a lip balm, when you want to travel light – you could also just squeeze a credit card in there. It’s also a great way to wrap up a money gift for a birthday or holiday gift, or to give as a bridesmaid gift.

The purse outer is interfaced for strength and I’ve added some soft fleece to give a puffy effect. The inside of the purse is lined with a rich deep red coloured cotton – hard wearing enough to stand up to those coins jiggling about but still beautifully soft.

The engraved metal frame of the purse is a silver colour and I’ve hand stitched it into place using a perle cotton to co-ordinate with the red lining fabric.

The purse measures 8cm (3.25 inches) across at the mid part of the frame and 12cm (4.75 inches) at the widest point, at the bottom, where I’ve boxed off the corners to give a little depth to the purse of 3cm (1.25 inch). It stands 9cm (3.5 inches) tall.
