Description
This is a larger sized frame purse that will happily carry your cards, cash, a key, lip balm – it is surprisingly capacious!
The feature fabric I selected to make this purse is a beautiful monochrome cotton lawn fabric in a print called Lei Nani. It’s from Nani Iro’s exclusive Beau Yin Yang collection for Kokka fabrics. It has a ghostly black base decorated with cream flowers and pops of metallic silver overlaid – such a striking, modern look. I’ve added woven cotton interfacing to the lawn to add weight and then partnered it with a solid black Essex Linen on the outside. The whole is then interfaced again with another layer of woven cotton and a soft layer of fleece padding to give the purse’s contents some protection. Inside, the lining is made with a silver metallic Essex Linen in ebony, which adds a lovely pop of sparkle when you open the purse.
The silver metal frame of the purse is hand stitched it into place using a perle cotton in silver. The purse frame has ‘eyes’ on the top so that you could attach a chain if you wished.
Please see the photographs for the dimensions of the purse and an idea of the scale with some standard sized business cards, a credit sized card and some cash next to it. I also offer a smaller purse using this print, which you can find here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/663117103/coin-purse-made-with-lei-nani-lawn-print?ref=shop_home_active_1&frs=1
Please note that the photographs of the purse here are of one sample purse and your purse may look slightly different, according to how the fabric is cut.
** please note that I’m not able to make a wristlet strap for this purse **

Clare –
I love this design. Big enough for cards and notes and lots of coins.
