Larger size coin purse in blue Harris Tweed with an Arts & Crafts inspired Liberty lawn lining, and a light bronze coloured metal frame

Description

When you don’t want to carry a handbag but you want something a bit larger than my usual coin purse, this one is the perfect size. You can fit in cash, cards, a set of keys, a lip balm, even your phone, if it’s a little one.

The purse is made from a lovely bright blue Harris Tweed, woven wool twill. The lining of the purse is Liberty Tana Lawn in a print called Persephone, which features a charming floral repeating motif, inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement.

I’ve interfaced the outer and lining of the purse with woven cotton for strength and durability, as well as adding a layer of fleece to the outer for some additional substance. I then add a light bronze coloured metal frame, which is hand stitched into place with cotton perle thread, which tones with the lining print.
