The mittens in this listing are being sold to raise funds to support individuals rescuing, neutering and fostering kittens and cats, who rely on donations to finance their work. All of the mittens have been hand knit by me using pure merino wool in kettle dyed colours. Merino is a great choice for sensitive little hands because, unlike some wool, it shouldn’t cause an allergic reaction.
There are two types of mittens available: thumbless mitts that are perfect for new babies who don’t need to exercise much dexterity with their thumbs yet, and baby / toddler size mittens with thumbs. You can see the measurements of the mittens in the last two photos – please bear in mind that they were measured flat and relaxed and the knitted fabric will stretch to fit larger hands.
The total cost price of every pair of mittens is donated and shipping is only charged at cost.
£35 was raised in 2020 and donated to my most local independent rescue, Orphan Annie’s cat rescue in Basildon: http://www.orphananniescatrescue.co.uk/
