Description
This is a larger sized frame purse that will happily carry your cards, cash, a key, lip balm – it is surprisingly capacious!
I’ve made the purse by partnering a chocolate brown Harris Tweed, with a lovely Liberty tana lawn print called ‘Little Marquess’, which is based on a 1970s archival Liberty scarf design and was a instant classic, reproduced in several different versions over the years. When you look closely at the tweed, you can see that tiny blue and golden orange threads have been woven into the twill, which matches beautifully with the shades of the Liberty print lining.
I’ve added woven cotton interfacing to the tweed and the tana lawn to strengthen them, and I’ve added some soft fleece to the tweed that gives a puffy effect that feels nice in your hand.
The metal frame of the purse is a pale gold colour and I’ve hand stitched it into place using a perle cotton in a rich gold. The purse frame has ‘eyes’ on the side so that you could attach a chain or wrist strap to, if you wished.
Please see the final photograph for the dimensions of the purse and an idea of the scale with some standard sized cards, notes and coins next to the purse.
** please note that I’m not able to make a wristlet strap for this purse **
