Small Japanese Knot Bag made with lovely cotton fabrics in unicorn, woodland and cherry blossom prints – perfect for carrying work or lunch!

It’s so tricky to categorise these little bags because they would be super useful for SO many things! Most of the bags I make are for crafting / projects on the go and / or stored, and although these Japanese Knot Bags are beyond perfect for this, they are also great to use as a small fold up shopper to keep in your regaular day bag, to carry your lunch in, or maybe even as a peg bag as you hang out the washing! They would also be perfect as a crafting child’s project bag.

The design of the Japanese knot bag is pretty genius and simple at the same time – you just pop the shorter handle over the longer one and then slip your hand or wrist through the larger handle to carry or work out of the bag if you’re using it for crochet or knitting. You can also use the larger handle to hang up the bag on a clothes peg or door handle.

I make the bags using lovely quality quilting weight cottons for the outer and the co-ordinating linings. The denim unicorn bag has a plain navy cotton lining, the cherry blossom bag has a plain red cotton lining, and the woodland bag has a grey woodland scene on it’s lining. All the bags are fully reversible, although the woodland one has two prints, which makes it a little more versatile!
