Description
Every organised woman has the wherewithall within her handbag to sew on a button or make a quick running repair in an emergency while travelling. Not every woman keeps this wherewithall in a pretty sewing case!
This sewing case is made from a handpieced and hand quilted patchwork outer of little squares of floral and paisley lightweight cotton. The inner is made with crisp looking Essex linen fabric (a blend of linen and cotton) with pages of wool mix felt in the centre for needles and pins. There are 4 pockets of different sizes inside and these are trimmed with hand pieced bias binding made from the same fabric as the patchwork outer.
The button is coconut shell, the fixing loop is crocheted gold lurex to add a touch of bling, and I’ve also added a small panel of crocheted shells in the same yarn to the first page of the felt book as decoration.
I’ve added a few stitching essentials to get you started: a pair of mini scissors, some pretty heart shaped long dressmaker’s pins, safety pins, three buttons and three needles, pre-threaded with black, red and white. This case is a little larger than the others I have for sale so there is plenty of room for you to add your own sewing equipment
The dimensions given are for the case when closed.
