lace haze scarf

Description

This scarf is made in a lace knit stitch with a reverse stocking stitch edge at either end.  The fabric is very airy and light but at the same time, very warm, so perfect for winter.

The scarf is made with Rowan’s Kidsilk Haze Stripe, which is a blend of 70% super kid mohair and 30% silk.  The colours in this yarn have been designed by Kaffe Fassett and the shade I have used in this piece is ‘twilight’; a beautiful mix of purples, greens, greys and browns.

At 156cm, the scarf is a very useful length and can be worn in a number of ways.  The width is 28cm along most of the length, but the two ends of the scarf bloom outward prettily, due to the slight wave created by the reverse stocking stitch edging.
