Description
This coin purse is the perfect size to pop into your pocket with a little cash, a key and maybe a lip balm, when you want to travel light – you could also just squeeze a credit card in there. It’s also a great way to wrap up a money gift for a birthday or holiday gift, or to give as a bridesmaid gift.
I make the purse with a gorgeous little Liberty cotton print (not tana lawn) called ‘Hesketh’, which first appeared as a tana lawn in their Autumn / Winter 2015 collection. It’s interfaced with woven cotton for longevity and I add some soft fleece to give a puffy effect that feels nice in your hand. The inside of the purse is lined with a fresh and spring like lime green cotton, which is also interfaced and hard wearing enough to stand up to those coins jiggling about.
The engraved metal frame of the purse is a silver colour and I’ve hand stitched it into place using a perle cotton to match the lining fabric.
The purse measures 8cm (3.25 inches) across at the mid part of the frame and 12cm (4.75 inches) at the widest point, at the bottom, where I’ve boxed off the corners to give a little depth to the purse of 3cm (1.25 inch). It stands 9cm (3.5 inches) tall.
Please note that the photographs of the purse here are of one sample purse and your purse may look slightly different, according to how the fabric is cut.
You can add a wristlet strap to this purse if you wish to – please see this separate listing for full details: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/272705402/wristlet-strap-for-coin-purse-can-be?ref=shop_home_active_4
