When I came across these adorable little enamelled cat charms whilst on one of my marathon online window shopping sessions, I knew I had to have them and do something with them! I’m a real beginner when it comes to collecting stitch markers and progress keepers, but I’m very willing to improve and, these babies have already lifted my little collection!
The charms themselves are 23mm or 7/8″ tall and are lightweight, despite being made of metal. They come in the set of 3 different designs that you see here and each one will have a split ring and a lobster clasp attached so that you can use them as stitch markers or progress keepers. One thing I’ve found since I started collecting stitch markers is that I like to be able to use them as both things and that I sometimes want to slip them onto larger needles, so I’ve used a slightly larger than usual split ring that you can slip onto a needle as large as 6mm easily. Because it’s a split ring, you can easily remove the lobster clasp and put it back on whenever you like, if you like. The lobster clasp easily slips onto a 4mm needle too – I think of it as Transformers for knitting!
