Project bag – a generously sized zipped pouch with detachable wristlet, perfect for knit, crochet or sewing projects, make up or toiletries

I’m calling this a project bag because that’s how I’d use it, but you can use it however you like! If you don’t have endless knit, crochet and sewing projects to put in it as I do, you could use it as a larger sized make up bag, for toiletries, or really anything else you’d put in a generously sized zippered bag. It makes a great gift for a creative friend – trust me, they’ll find LOTS of things to put in it!

This bag is made with a gorgeously flowery print that manages to be vintage and modern at the same time and features woodland animals amongst the blooms. It’s designed by Urban Chiks for Moda Fabrics as part of the Nomad collection and I’ve partnered it up with a lovely fresh yellow lining and dark brown zip that echo the colours in the print. The outer of the bag is interfaced for strength and has a layer of fleece for soft squishiness. There’s a useful slip pocket inside and everything is stitched together with a good quality YKK zip and top stitched for a tidy finish. The final touch is adding a removable wristlet strap using a simple keychain loop and clasp.

The bag stands 7.75 inches / 19.5cm tall and is 9.5 inches / 24cm wide at the widest point. The depth measured across the bottom is 3.5 inches / 8.25cm. Please note that the creatures featured on the bag I make for you may not be exactly as pictured – it really depends on how the fabric is cut.
