Description
If you do a lot of sock knitting, you’re probably very familiar with the idea of the dpn cosy, but many knitters (including me until recently!) don’t know about these fabulous little holders for work in progress on double points. I used to squish up my knitting on the needles and then drop it into a project bag where I could accidentally knock some of the stitches off the needles or, get everything tangled up in yarn or other things I had in the bag – very irritating. With these holders, your needles and stitches are safely tucked away until you open the holder to take them out and restart your knitting.
This holder is made with a print called ‘Burly Beavers’ from Robert Kaufman – these manly little critters are perfect to look after your knitting! I’ve interfaced the cotton outer and lined the cosy with a medium weight plain cotton in a toning colour. I’ve then added metal press stud fasteners in a silver shade to close the cosy (please see the last photo to see the reverse of the fasteners, which looks a little different to the front).
You can see the dimensions of the cosy in the last but one photo (this one is a little deeper than my others, just because it worked better for the beaver print) and I’m happy to make this to different dimensions – just request a custom order or convo me to discuss.
Please note that the photographs here are of one sample cosy and your cosy may look slightly different, according to how the fabric is cut.
