Coin purse made with sausage dog print ‘Nose to Nose Sam’ from Lewis & Irene with a hand stitched metal frame, in a choice of two colours

This little coin purse is the perfect size to pop into your pocket with a little cash, a key and maybe a lip balm, when you want to travel light. It’s also a great way to wrap up a money gift for a birthday or holiday gift, or to give as a bridesmaid gift.

I’ve made the purse with a super cute dachshund or sausage dog print called ‘Nose to Nose Sam’ by Sam & Mitzi for Lewis & Irene. It’s available in two different colour options, which you can see in the photographs. The purse is interfaced inside and out with woven cotton and the outer also has a layer of soft fleece to give a puffy effect that feels nice in your hand.

The engraved metal frame of the purse is hand stitche into place using a toning perle cotton.

The purse measures 8cm (3.25 inches) across at the top of the frame and 10cm (4 inches) across at the bottom, where I’ve boxed off the corners to give a little depth to the bottom of the purse of 3.5cm (1.5 inches). It stands a little over 9cm (3.5 inches) tall, which is just right to carry a credit card or two, if you wish to.
