Scandinavian inspired Christmas stocking

This is a no apology traditional Christmas stocking!  It is a pretty long and slim one, but I think that makes it look more elegant than the usual, shorter stockings with bigger feet and fatter legs!

The stocking is made from machine pieced quality cotton fabrics, three of which are from designer Maude Asbury’s Tinsel range for Blend fabrics.  I’ve then softly hand quilted the stocking by both working around some of the pattern motifs, and using diagonal lines of stitches.  It is fully lined with a lovely cotton poplin print of red stars on white and a Christmas hanging ribbon has been attached to the back of the leg.
