Description
If you do a lot of sock knitting, you’re probably very familiar with the idea of the dpn cosy, but many knitters (including me until recently!) don’t know about these fabulous little holders for work in progress on double points. I used to squish up my knitting on the needles and then drop it into a project bag where I could accidentally knock some of the stitches off the needles or, get everything tangled up in yarn or other things I had in the bag – very irritating. With these holders, your needles and stitches are safely tucked away until you open the holder to take them out and restart your knitting.
These holders are made with fun prints on cotton, featuring partying bears, yarn obsessed cats and sheep roaming the hills. I interface the cotton outers with woven cotton and soft fleece, then line the cosy with plain cotton fabrics in a toning colour, and add metal press stud fasteners to close.
I offer the cosy in two sizes for 8″ or 6″ needles and another option to add a 3rd snap to the 8″ size so that it can be used with circular needles, if magic loop is your thing. You can see how this works in the last photo – essentially, you put your tips together into the left of the cosy, the cable sits to the right, above the right hand snap, and you push another loop of the cable around the extra snap to secure it. **The Sheep print is only available in the 20cm / 8″ size**
Please note that the holders pictured are samples and that your cosy may be slightly different, according to how the fabric is cut.

These are probably one of the best inventions for sock knitters. The ones made by CrimsonRabbitBurrow are well-made and a delight to use.
